Placements, Summer 2012
The
placements on offer are based in New Delhi; Dehra Dun and Kumaon
(both located in the northern state of
Uttarakhand, previously known as Uttaranchal); and Rajasthan.
The
projects are all broadly development-related, and range from working
with research and action-oriented NGOs, to helping children with
special needs. The host organisations focus largely on
issues associated with sustainable development, natural resource
management, safe water and sanitation, mountain development and human
rights.
The
estimated financial costs for each project are provided on the pages
that describe each placement in detail. These have been calculated
based on estimates provided by the host organisations. A breakdown of
these costs will be provided once the volunteers are selected. Personal
expenses, vaccinations and insurance costs will be additional to these
project costs. Volunteers should budget for these additional costs, as
appropriate for their own circumstances.
